Out Door Activities in Da Lat

Da Lat is slowly but surely gaining a reputation as being Vietnam's outdoor activity centre, with a number of places running all kinds of trips in the surrounding Highlands -- the perfect location for hill-trekking, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing and canyoning.
Typically a day's trekking, biking or climbing will cost $20-$40, depending on which company and what itinerary you choose. Phat Tire Ventures is the most well established activities company in Da Lat and also has the most extensive list of options available. They have options for day trips, 2-day, 1-night hiking and biking trips, and also extended trips such as a bike ride to the coast and either Mui Ne (2D/1N $138, 1D $68) or Nha Trang ($68), and even a six-day, five-night monster to Hoi An. Rock climbing day trips cost $30 a day, while trekking starts from $17 to $22. You may find other agencies are slightly cheaper, but Phat Tire's equipment is top rate.
The owner of Hardy Dalat Adventure Sports guarantees his guides as the best -- he only recruits graduates from a four-year tourism bachelor degree at Da Lat University. Hardy also receives students twice yearly from the UK on team-building exercise trips, so if you need a morale boost, drop in here.
