Saigon Central Post

Just across the street from the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Saigon Post Office was built in the late 1900s while Vietnam was part of French Indochina.
A popular spot for city tours and tourists alike it is worth a visit to look at the classic French colonial architecture. The inside is particularly stunning, where the glass domed roof lights the main passageway. The walls are decorated with historic large maps showing former boundaries of the country and city as well as a large portrait of Uncle Ho himself.
The post office still functions, being one of the better places in the city to send correspondence or call internationally, and is the largest in Vietnam.
